ABOUT ME

MORE ABOUT LAWRENCE LEWIS...I presently reside on Quadra Island, BC with my wife Dr. Tannis Shaw and new daughter Kate, and Shredder (our cat). We have been very fortunate to be able to adopt Kate from China, and received her in October of 2008…we feel truly blessed and will start another adoption process for a second child in the spring of 2009.

My wife and I are both small business owners. Together we own and operate the Landing Bar & Grill on Quadra Island, and Shaw Chiropractic located in the Tyee Plaza in Campbell River. I have owned previous small businesses and enjoy the challenge and opportunities associated with building a business and creating a business invested in the community it serves.

I believe strongly in the value of community service, and sit on a number of volunteer Boards including the Campbell River Museum and Community Futures Strathcona, belong to the Rotary Afternoon Club, and volunteer with a number of other community service organizations. If you can and are not already doing so…please consider volunteering yourself and make a difference in your community.

I was born and raised in Campbell River and Quadra Island, and I am First Nation person of the We Wai Kai Nation (Cape Mudge on Quadra Island). I have a number of university degrees and certifications in business, education and leadership, trade, and public sector management (mostly from UVic). None of which is truly that important…the real learning was in the process and life experience achieving them.

I love to read and I am passionate about business marketing and tapping the power of the webs newest phenomena, the proliferation of social networks. I have worked in senior and executive business and government positions my entire career, and in 2008 stepped away from this career path to focus more quality of life, and to be a better father and husband.

Recently, I launched eZABU to assist local small business fully utilize and access the webs social networks to advance their business interests in a web-savvy and web-acceptable manner…you’d be surprised at the required ‘art’ inside the ’science’. Ultimately, I want to be your business partner, affiliate, associate, colleague, and trusted source for your business needs and solutions.
